I’ve recently moved into the starting-my-own-business/having-no-money field of work. After many terrible ideas and poor advice, we finally seem to be moving in the direction of something tangiable.

Without posting my CV, I’ve worked as an IT consultant (yawn) for 3 years, a private contractor to investment banks (bigger yawn showing back teeth) and am now fully trying to make business use social media in ways that they never imagined (Shazaa!)

More recently we setup a company to provide services to agencies and brands to manage and report on their social media streams. Notably what’s trending in the fashion world. We’re trying to be a software company, not a PR company, so this should be interesting.

We’ve been accepted onto the GEP program for 2010 and are going to be writing quite a bit so keep and eye out for us. Our company blog is on http://www.brimbase.com but it’s still early stages.

We fund ourselves partly through music, Brian plays a mean drum and I can play alot of Hendrix so if you’re in the Cork area and looking for a band, send me an email!
